Who Can Open an Account?

• Individuals
• Two or more individuals jointly
• Minors represented by their natural guardians
• Proprietary concerns / Partnership firms / Companies
• Associations or Corporate Bodies
• Hindu Undivided Families (HUFs)
• Trusts

Procedure for Opening an Account

1. Fill in the prescribed Account Opening Form completely and sign it. Required details include full name, address, occupation, deposit amount, repayment terms, standing instructions (if any), and date of birth (for minors).
2. Submit a Nomination Form (mandatory for individual depositors).
3. Attach a passport-size photograph of the depositor(s).
4. In case of minors, attach the Date of Birth Certificate. The natural guardian will operate the account.
5. For HUFs, proprietary concerns, or companies, attach documents related to their constitution.

Fixed Deposit Details

• Minimum Deposit Amount: ₹1,000/-
• Deposit Period: Minimum 15 days to Maximum 120 months (and more by court order)
• Interest Payment: Monthly / Quarterly / Half-Yearly / Yearly
• Premature Withdrawal: Subject to applicable penalty
• TDS: Applicable as per government rules (TDS will not be deducted for bank members)
• Addition/Deletion of Names: Permitted as per bank policy
• Senior Citizens: Additional 0.75% interest rate applicable
