💳 RTGS (Real Time Gross Settlement)
The RTGS system allows continuous, real-time settlement of funds on an individual order basis. It is designed for high-value transactions, ensuring immediate and secure fund transfers.
📌 What is RTGS?
‘RTGS’ stands for Real Time Gross Settlement.
- Real Time: Transactions are processed immediately when instructions are received.
- Gross Settlement: Each funds transfer is settled individually on an instruction-by-instruction basis.
🔄 Difference Between RTGS and NEFT
NEFT (National Electronic Funds Transfer) operates on a Deferred Net Settlement (DNS) basis. Transactions are settled in batches, typically hourly. RTGS, on the other hand, processes transactions individually and continuously during business hours.
